The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) is required by section 15 of the Privacy (Australian Government Agencies – Governance) APP Code 2017 to maintain and publish a register of the Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) that it conducts on its website.
We conduct PIAs for all high privacy risk projects. A project may be a high privacy risk if the NFSA reasonably considers that the project involves any new or changed ways of handling personal information that are likely to have a significant impact on the privacy of individuals.
The NFSA has undertaken the following PIAs (effective from 1 July 2018) – copies of PIAs may be requested by contacting privacy@nfsa.gov.au.
