This is a short clip from a community documentary called, Space Games - Rage or Rip Off?  The filmmakers interview an amusement parlour operator about the negative impact of games on children. Not surprisingly he rejects that video games are addictive and cause harm of any kind. Almost 40 years later the debate still rages with concerned parents complaining that they are unable to get their children off 'screens'. What has changed though is that games have largely moved out of the arcades and into homes, perhaps making children even more socially isolated. However, with the advent of online gaming, children now tend to socialise through the internet, often with others all over the world and in ways that were inconceivable in 1980.
