Sticky tape
Audio and video tape characterized by a soft, gummy, or tacky tape surface. This tape has experienced a significant level of hydrolysis so that the magnetic coating is softer than normal. The tape is characterized by resinous or oily deposits on the surface of the magnetic tape.
