Spontaneous ignition
An extremely rare phenomena, but one which has been known to occur in particularly badly stored nitrate film which is also decomposing. A badly decomposing nitrate film may, if exposed to temperatures above 42° C for periods extending beyond 15 hours, spontaneously burst into flames.
