Any film stage between camera original and projection print. Film used only for making duplicates from which other duplicates or prints are made.
An intermediate may be a reversal duplicate negative (CRI) if the original material is colour negative. If the original material is a reversal print, the intermediate may be a reversal master or an inter-negative. It also may be a master positive from which a duplicate negative is made. Does not include camera films.
