Attribute of colour that identifies its position in the spectrum (1985). The sensation of the colour itself; measured by the dominant wavelength.
Hue can be described as:
“Attribute of a visual sensation according to which an area appears to be similar to one of the perceived colors, red, yellow, green, and blue, or to a combination of two of them” [CIE 845-02-35].
Used along with saturation and luminance luminance to describe a particular colour.
