Flux
Magnetic current generated by a record head, stored on magnetic tape, and picked up by the playback head. Also the magnetic field that exists between the poles of a magnet.
Flux Transition
A 180°change in the flux pattern of a magnetic medium brought about by the reversal of the magnetic poles within the medium.
Flux Transition Density
Number of flux transitions per track length unit.
