Access
Any form of use of NFSA Film, Sound, Video or Documentation Collections. Access may be in response to a client initiative, or initiated from within the NFSA in the form of publication or marketing requirements.
Access Copy
A copy of an item from the Collection and called an access copy. The access copy is often made from a duplicating copy which has been made from the original or preservation copy. It is available for use by NFSA for either internal use or external loan.
The access copy enables access to the content of a work without incurring risk to the original work or preservation copy.
The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia acknowledges Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live and gives respect to their Elders both past and present.
