Plan Your Visit – COVID-19 Information

The NFSA is open from 10.00am to 4.00pm daily.

Check our Events page and our ticketing page, so you know what is on offer on the day you plan to visit.

Book your ticket! All events will now require pre-booking so we can adhere to capacity restrictions. The following do not require pre-booking: general access to the building, the Vintage Australia daily program in Arc Cinema, Starstruck: On Location and our interactive experience Hive

Check In CBR: All visitors to the NFSA are required to check in via the Check In CBR app. If you do not have a device which allows you to check in, or require assistance, please see our friendly reception staff for help.

Go cashless! To reduce handling of cash, for both staff and visitors, we are moving to a cashless system for all ticketed programs.

Feel confident that we are taking extra measures to ensure your safety:

— Multiple hand-sanitising stations across the building

— Implementing directional signage for crowd control and flow

— Increased building cleaning schedule, with focus on high-touch points

— Capped capacities in Arc cinema, the Theatrette and Café; all other internal venues monitored by Visitor Experience staff to ensure social distancing

— Increased staff training and rostering

— Visitor Experience staff will be available to assist visitors and monitor the flow of people.

More information: Download our COVID-Safe Plan.

Ask questions! Please reach out if you have any further questions ahead of your visit. We look forward to welcoming you back to the building!

During Your Visit

Help us protect the community by adopting the following safety measures when visiting:

— Please comply with current social distancing guidelines of 1.5 metres

— Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser

— When coughing and sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue

— If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms (including sore throat, runny nose, persistent cough, shortness of breath or fever), please do not visit the NFSA.

Help Us Keep Everyone Safe

For the health and safety of other visitors and our staff, please do not visit the NFSA if you are required to be in quarantine or to self-isolate, including if you:

— Are experiencing any flu-like symptoms

— Have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 (during the period in which the virus is contagious)

— Are awaiting the results of a test for COVID-19

— Reside with anyone who is awaiting the results of a test for COVID-19

— Have returned from international travel and failed to observe government requirements to quarantine for 14 days

— Have visited or resided in interstate COVID-19 hotspots, in the last 14 days. Since hotspots and isolation requirements are subject to change at short notice, you must check the latest developments on the ACT’s COVID-19 website before visiting the NFSA.
