Mother's Day: Little Women

Gillian Armstrong and her stellar cast bring to life Louisa May Alcott's classic Little Women – a timeless coming-of-age story set in post-Civil war America.
Jo (Winona Ryder) struggles for independence and sometimes clashes with her beloved and strong-willed mother (Susan Sarandon) and her sisters Meg (Trini Alvarado), Amy (Kirsten Dunst) and Beth (Claire Danes).
She also contends with their cranky Aunt March (Mary Wickes), their impulsive neighbour Laurie (Christian Bale) and kindly linguistics professor Friedrich Bhaer (Gabriel Byrne).
