After being dumped by his girlfriend Laura (Iben Hjejle), snarky record store owner Rob (John Cusack) revisits his failed romantic relationships and life trajectory. Behind the banter with customers and his signature top five lists for every occasion, Rob must face up to his own insecurities and unwillingness to change. 

Based on the Nick Hornby novel of the same name, High Fidelity has also inspired a stage musical, a TV series and the Donwill concept album Don Cusack in High Fidelity.
