Camille de Angelis explores desire, isolation and identity in Bones and All, her 2015 YA novel about a quiet teenager with cannibalistic proclivities who sets out in search of her father.

The author praised David Kajganich’s film adaptation, directed by Luca Guadagnino and starring Taylor Russell and Timothée Chalamet. Equal parts tender and terrifying, Bones and All blends the romance, horror and road trip genres to stunning effect.

‘…an intoxicating tale of queer love and self-discovery that's dripping with blood’ – Mashable

The screening will be followed by a discussion of the film and the novel with special guest Kris Kneen, in conversation with Canberra Writers Festival Artistic Director Beejay Silcox.
