
As part of Canberra's 98th birthday celebrations, singer Jimmy Barnes was invited to plant a flame tree at the National Arboretum. Barnes talks to WIN news about his affinity with Canberra and dedicates the tree to Steve Prestwich, the Cold Chisel drummer who wrote the highly acclaimed song Flame Trees, who had recently passed away.
The 250 acre arboretum was a local community initiative aimed at helping the healing process following the devastation of the 2003 Canberra bushfires.
