Bryan Brown stars as a factory worker and aspiring foreman who must make a decision between being bullied at work, or risk losing his hearing.
Hearing loss from exposure to excessive noise is irreversible. Hearing aids cannot correct it. Where it is not possible to eliminate noise at its source, it is necessary to wear hearing protection. This imaginative film demonstrates how workplace pressures can influence a persons decisions about their own safety. In this way it is also a film about workplace bullying. Made without dialogue, the film takes Bryan's character through several nightmare visions of his future with hearing loss which prompt him to adopt a safer alternative.
