A copy of the novel For the Term of His Natural Life (Marcus Clarke, 1874) signed by the cast of the 1927 film adaptation.
The novel is missing the front cover and the first four pages. It is accompanied by a hand-written note signed by Norman O. Dawn saying 'Original very old copy of Term given me by Marion Marcus Clarke when I first read about it. I used this to prepare a script but also carried it around in my raincoat pocket - and often went over it while I worked.'
The novel is marked-up with pencil notes made by Dawn while filming For the Term of His Natural Life (1927).
