This invitation card was kept in a scrapbook created by the McDonagh Sisters documenting the release and response to their film The Far Paradise in 1928.
It is for a private screening of the film at The Prince Edward Theatre Beautiful in Castlereagh Street, Sydney on the morning 19 June, 1928.
The invitation notes that the Governor of NSW, Sir Dudley De Chair, will be in attendance and that the film has a musical accompaniment by Eddie Horton.
The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia acknowledges Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live and gives respect to their Elders both past and present.
