This T-shirt was part of the official merchandise from Sia’s Nostalgic for the Present tour in 2016. With USA tour dates and locations printed on the back, it shows the global reach of the Australian artist, who was born Sia Kate Isobelle Furler and raised in Adelaide. The front of the shirt features a stark black-and-white image of Maddie Ziegler, the teenage dancer who leapt from Dance Moms fame to star in Sia’s era-defining videos for 'Chandelier' and 'Elastic Heart'.
At the height of her 2010s success, Sia famously hid her own face behind wigs and masks, crafting a rare anonymity in pop stardom. So it’s fitting that Ziegler became the visual icon of her brand. The design is surprisingly minimal for an artist known for bold experimentation – yet still offbeat enough to satisfy her fans.
