Mental As Anything wore their art on their sleeves – literally. Known for their love of bold design and offbeat visuals, the band’s flair extended to their fashion, with drummer David Twohill (AKA Wayne DeLisle) rocking this striking red-and-teal screenprinted jacket in the '80s. Designed by founding member Reg Mombassa, its loud colours and wild patterns are unmistakably Mental As Anything. They are a perfect match for the band’s zany aesthetic, seen across their posters, album covers and video clips. The group met at East Sydney Tech and brought their art-school sensibilities into every aspect of their work, designing much of the band's visual identity from the ground up.
