Since his 1968 performance at iconic New York club the Copacabana, Welsh singer Tom Jones – best known for songs like ’Delilah’ and, appropriately, ’Sex Bomb’ – has been the target of undies thrown on stage by adoring fans.
Over 30 years later, the trend continued. This embellished pair of knickers landed on stage during his 2000 Australia and New Zealand tour. They were collected by Dean Manning, one of the founding members of '90s Australian folk-pop band Leonardo’s Bride, which was supporting Jones on the Australian leg of the tour.
Leonardo’s Bride was nominated for three ARIA Awards in 1997. In 1998, their single ‘Even When I’m Sleeping’ was voted Song of the Year at the APRA Music Awards.
