Throughout the history of amateur filmmaking, there were lots of accessories available to make home movies look more professional, such as these individual letter decals, which the company Whitmont made in bright colours and traditional white. Whitmont was one of many companies that tapped into the amateur film market by selling different tools for titling home movies.
