
This Dot and the Kangaroo badge from 1977 would have been proudly worn by young fans. The production of a range of merchandise suggests how popular the animated children's film was. Its success enabled creator Yoram Gross to expand his production company and promote his family-oriented films in the United States. The film’s distinctive use of animation over photographic backgrounds became a hallmark of his later productions, including the television series The Adventures of Blinky Bill (1993).
