Frogstomp CD by Silverchair

This is the CD of one of Australia’s most iconic rock albums, Silverchair's 1995 debut Frogstomp. Many people will immediately recognise the simple, yet iconic artwork of the illustrated frog – some fans have even gone so far as to get tattoos of it! The album rocketed Silverchair from Newcastle to the top of the global charts when band members Daniel Johns, Ben Gillies and Chris Joannou were still barely 15. 

Not many rock stars have to juggle finishing high school with performing on the rooftop of Radio City Music Hall in New York City and touring with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. But Novocastrians (or Newies) get the job done. Led by hit singles ‘Tomorrow’ and ’Pure Massacre’, tracks that display the band’s deft pop hooks and high-energy post-grunge playing, Frogstomp is a defining album of its era.
