Show me the money! Game shows have been a television mainstay since the medium began. Many of them were so popular that they spawned commercial board games that viewers could play at home. This one, based on the Australian version of Tic-Tac-Dough (1960–64), is a great example. Manufactured by Upson Australia, this complete board game features the original red box, instruction leaflet, red plastic mechanical category selector and bank notes, allowing people to recreate the quiz show in their living rooms. The Australian Tic-Tac-Dough was hosted by Chuck Faulkner, who later played Detective Keith Vickers on TV police drama Division 4 (1969–75).

The original US version of Tic-Tac-Dough was cancelled after it was caught up in the quiz show scandals of the late 1950s when it was revealed that producers of popular game shows had been coaching some contestants to influence the outcome of the game.
