Who can remember spending their Saturday nights waiting eagerly to tune into Young Talent Time, to see the younger versions of future stars like Tina Arena, Kylie and Dannii Minogue, and Sally Boyden?
Maybe you were one of the lucky kids in the live audience, loudly cheering while watching host Johnny Young and the cast dazzling on the stage.
This Easter special from 1984 would have aired the night before the Easter Bunny was set to arrive and leans into the festivities, with a brightly decorated set full of Easter eggs and colourful costumes for the performers. The cast hop to it with a lively performance of 'A Wonderful Day Like Today' (from the 1965 musical The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd), full of smiles for the crowd and camera.
Johnny Young then takes to the stage and wishes everyone a Happy Easter before introducing guest performer, Australian singer-songwriter Kamahl.
