As a tribute to the incredible contribution of Shane Warne (1969–2022) to Australian sport, we are publishing his iconic cameo appearance in Kath and Kim episode 'Wedding of the Century' (2007).
The world-class cricketer’s cheeky humour shines through in this brief clip in which he plays Wayne Shaun, a Shane Warne impersonator, who marries the cricket-loving Sharon (Magda Szubanski) in the series' final episode.
Wayne has been practising his cricket and bowls the wedding ring to Sharon, who is thrilled to realise he's just bowled a flipper, one of Warne's trademarks.
