As you step into our Foyer, take a moment to explore the assorted pins and badges on display. These tiny, artful wearables capture moments from Australian pop culture. The collection spans from the 1930s, beginning with a pin from the Fox-Hoyts Radio Club, through to recent times.

As you wander the corridors, don’t miss our latest poster exhibition, Rebels, Romantics and Reactionaries. This display explores Australian counterculture from the mid-1970s to the 1980s through vibrant graphic art.

Pop into the Kookaburra Room to discover a colourful collection of entertainment-themed mugs and try your hand at the puzzles featuring images from our building and collection.

And be sure to stop by the Gallery when we're between major installations to see Recent Relics, a pop-culture exploration from the '80s, '90s and early 2000s. The installation features two beautifully restored display cases filled with iconic objects that celebrate Australian contemporary audiovisual history. You’ll also find our new 12-metre screens showcasing behind-the-scenes videos and historical documentation from iconic films.
