The two scenes curated here are of the ice and snow in Mount Buffalo, Victoria. Family holiday scenes are some of the most common events recorded in home movie footage and are a private record of family memories as well as a glimpse of daily life at the time they were filmed.
This home movie came into the National Collection of the National Film and Sound Archive through its Last Film Search initiative which aimed to locate and preserve nitrate film material before it neared the end of its life.
