Whether you’re visiting the NFSA or passing by, the Courtyard is an easy place to stop and lose time – just minutes from the city.
During the day, Dom’s deli & bar serves coffee, tea and light meals, making the Courtyard a popular spot for lunch or a casual catch-up. In the evening, it’s a place to enjoy a drink before or after a screening or event.
Set among landscaped gardens and original 1930s architecture, the Courtyard has been shaped over time as a place to gather and linger. In 2024, its western annexe was refreshed in collaboration with First Nations design firm Yerrabingin, adding picnic tables and native plantings.
With a mix of covered and open seating, The Courtyard is a sense of sanctuary, whatever the weather.
