Read the book, watch the film and then join the conversation with Book Club at NFSA.

Explore how culturally significant books have been adapted and reimagined as films. Join the National Film and Sound Archive and 666AM ABC Radio Canberra for a unique monthly book club experience in the heart of Canberra.

This series explores classic and contemporary stories across page and screen. Tune in monthly on Fridays to hear about the next book in The Afternoons Book Corner Book Club on ABC Radio Canberra. Then book your seat to experience its film adaptation on the big screen and stay for a lively post-screening discussion at the NFSA.

Leading the conversation are ABC Radio Canberra presenter Alice Matthews and Canberra author Rhiân Williams, co-host of The Afternoons Book Corner Book Club.

This popular ticketed event is a regular highlight of our calendar and often sells out. We recommend booking in advance to avoid missing out.

Audience’s Pick

Tune into The Afternoons Book Corner Book Club to vote for our final book and film for the year!
