Take a step back in time with this nostalgic 1910 clip that captures the city of Melbourne in a different light. It's part of the Marvellous Melbourne series - the oldest surviving complete documentary on the Victorian capital - made by production company Spencers Pictures.

As well as the fabulous fashion and trams on show the clip includes iconic Melbourne landmarks such as Flinders Street Station, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Town Hall. It's charming to see unique characteristics of the era including ice delivery trucks and horse carriages along Swanston Street:
