The Swing was the first of INXS’ albums to really explore the blending of rock and funk music.
In this clip, Michael Hutchence explains their love for the band Chic and how Nile Rodgers from that band became involved in producing the song, 'Original Sin'.
This song marked the first time they deliberately focused on combining funk and rock sounds which they later explored more fully on songs like 'What You Need' and 'Need You Tonight'.
