Human Nature is Australia’s hardest-working pop vocal group – and one of its most enduring. Starting as a doo-wop quartet called 4Trax at Sydney’s Hurlstone Agricultural High, brothers Andrew and Michael Tierney joined forces with friends Phil Burton and Toby Allen. They soon pivoted to pop and surfed the ’90s boyband wave to stardom.

Their 1996 debut, Telling Everybody, was a smash, delivering six Top 40 singles – including 'Whisper Your Name', performed here on their triumphant 2002 Here and Now tour. This clip captures Human Nature at their pop peak: razor-sharp harmonies, slick choreography, and that clean-cut charisma fans loved.

Then came the reinvention. In the 2000s, the group conquered Las Vegas with a Motown-themed residency, clocking their 1,000th show in 2019 – the same year they marked 30 years together, entered the ARIA Hall of Fame, and received the Medal of the Order of Australia. From teen idols to seasoned entertainers, Human Nature pulled off the rare feat of turning a boyband into a 'manband' – and built a career that’s lasted decades.
