Graham Kennedy and Timothy Lynch broadcast from Frankston, an outer suburb of Melbourne, for radio station 3XY.

Graham Kennedy and Timothy Lynch broadcast from Frankston, an outer suburb of Melbourne, for radio station 3XY.

  • In August 1970 Graham began a daily program on 3XY from his home but it only ran for 12 months. His company, Austin Pty Ltd, installed the electronic portable studio in Graham’s rebuilt and redecorated home at Frankston. His home had been gutted by a fire in October 1968.

Timothy Lynch was a former In Melbourne Tonight performer who had come from Channel Nine’s prop room. Mentioned in this clip is Eric Pearce, the long-term newsreader on television station GTV9 where Graham hosted In Melbourne Tonight.
