Camera operator Bob Wilesmith was working for Channel 7 in the Parliament House bureau in Canberra on 11 November 1975, and was an eyewitness on the day that Governor-General Sir John Kerr dismissed Prime Minister Gough Whitlam and his government from office.

Here, his camera captures a flurry of activity around the House of Representatives side of Parliament House as Whitlam's filing cabinets were removed from his office into waiting vans.
