Diving into a crocodile pit - Annette Kellerman

1974

Annette Kellerman speaks about her fearlessness when it comes to heights and her skill at performing high dive stunts in her movies. She even dived into a crocodile pit for her role in A Daughter of the Gods!

This excerpt from an oral history interview with Joel Greenberg in 1974, when Kellerman was 88 years old, is presented with footage of Kellerman as a mermaid in Neptune's Daughter (Herbert Brenon, USA, 1914).

Kellerman criticised Esther Williams for needing a stunt double when portraying her in Million Dollar Mermaid (Mervyn LeRoy, USA, 1952).
