After experiencing childhood polio in Hanoi and migrating to Perth as a 12-year-old boy, Nang Nguyen's determination ultimately led him to represent Australia at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and start an inclusive coaching business. This clip from the short documentary series Different Lens gives Nguyen space to recount his story and offers insight into his routine as a coach supporting clients living with disability.

Nguyen's positive attitude and desire to shift perceptions of disability are reflected in the clip's format. Shots are not solely focused on Nguyen's powerlifting, but also on the efforts of those he works with. Personal videos and photos of Nguyen with his wife, new baby, friends and clients are scattered throughout, building the sense of a life lived to the fullest.

Combining personal anecdotes with footage of Nguyen's work, the WA-based production highlights the rewards of creating safe and accessible spaces for fitness and community.
