  • Eventide was established in October 1946 and was built on what was originally the barracks of theRAAF Air Training School on reclaimed wetland bordering Bramble Bay. This clip shows the extent of the grounds and the layout of the facility, which resembles a township. The narrator refers to the residents as ‘inmates’. This term was not meant to imply that those within Eventide were criminals or prisoners, but rather reflects the terminology of the times.
