Film posters are important part of a film's marketing for it release in cinemas. This example of the Argentinian poster for On the Beach shows some of the elements the studio wanted to publicise, namely the film's stars. It comprises a lithographic side profile image of Gregory Peck and Ava Gardner on the right side of the poster and a stylised image of a wave, with people and land in the distance in different shades of blue. The film's title is in Spanish, La Hora Final in red font on the bottom of the poster and the main cast is listed at the top.
