Stories of the Stolen Generations
Australia carries the deep scars of the Stolen Generations. This collection shows stories told through film, oral history and music – The Sapphires, Rabbit-Proof Fence, and Archie Roach’s Took the Children Away, heard alongside his reflections with Ruby Hunter. Although the nation apologised in 2008, the stories of grief, resilience and survival endure, carried forward on screen and in song. Bearing witness is part of remembrance.
WARNING: this collection contains names, images or voices of deceased Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
