Sharing the Archive Workshop

Come behind the scenes and get hands-on with historical audiovisual equipment in our beautiful Art Deco building. Learn about the history of film and sound in Australia and put your own spin on a Zoetrope animation.
Explore our collection of over 4 million items, interact with expert curators and conservators and experience the inner workings of the NFSA for a day. You’ll also get to see our Australians & Hollywood exhibition in a new light!
You will also receive a FREE ticket to a school holiday film screening of your choice! You will receive a code to book your free screening online or you can present your workshop ticket at reception on the day of the film.
Please note: Workshops are suitable for ages 10 to 13 and limited to 10 participants per workshop. Participants must wear covered shoes and should bring their own morning tea, lunch and drink bottle.
