Enjoy an online screening of the short film Other (2009) and the feature film BeDevil (1993) by iconic artist Tracey Moffatt, preceded by a curatorial introduction by Senior Curator Photography, National Gallery of Australia, Shaune Lakin and Chief Curator, National Film and Sound Archive of Australia, Gayle Lake.

Tracey Moffatt is one of Australia’s most prolific artists and filmmakers. In BeDevil, Moffatt shares a stylised and sublime trilogy of ghost stories to explore hauntings from the past and present.

This screening is presented in partnership with the NFSA to complement the National Gallery’s exhibition Know My Name: Australian Women Artists 1900 to Now and the NFSA’s Girls to the Front series, and to champion Australian women’s voices from across the creative industries.

Know My Name: Australian Women Artists 1900 to Now brings together more than 300 works, drawn from the Gallery’s collection and other collections from across Australia. This exhibition is part of a series of ongoing initiatives by the National Gallery to increase the representation of artists who identify as women in its artistic program.

The National Gallery gratefully acknowledges the Medich Foundation as Major Patron of The Body Electric.
