Saturday Screenings is a free program of film screenings on the first weekend of each month, presented in partnership between the NFSA and the National Gallery of Australia.

Head On follows 19-year-old Greek-Australian man Ari (Alex Dimitriades) as he struggles with his sexual identity.

Screening from a 35mm film print from the NFSA collection.

The feature will be preceded by short films by Del Kathryn Barton: Red (2017, M, 15mins, starring Cate Blanchett) and the animation The Nightingale and the Rose (2015, PG, 13mins).

Del Kathryn Barton features in the National Gallery’s Know My Name initiative that celebrates women artists.
