NFSA presents films from the Martu people of Western Australia
The Martu are the traditional owners of around 15 million hectares of beautiful country in Western Australia, including Karlamilyi National Park, spanning three desert bioregions. Kanyirninpa Jukurrpa (KJ) is a Martu organisation that was established in 2005 to look after Martu culture and help build sustainable Martu communities.
Since 2005, KJ have used film and documentary in supporting Martu as they seek to pass on their knowledge of culture and country to their young people.
Join NFSA CEO Michael Loebenstein in conversation with Martu and the staff from KJ, who will discuss some of their beautiful films.
