Naïve Texan Joe Buck (Jon Voight) heads to New York City to make his fortune as a male escort in the garb of a cowboy. After a string of failures, Joe agrees to a mutually beneficial business partnership with fast-talking con artist ‘Ratso’ (Dustin Hoffman). Things get dicey as Ratso’s health begins to deteriorate and the pair become increasingly desperate to find a way out.
Adapted from Waldo Salt’s 1965 novel, Midnight Cowboy is an Academy Award-winning drama with a Grammy Award-winning musical theme.
