Don't Call Me Girlie + Jewelled Nights
The early Australian film industry enjoyed a more balanced roster of women in front of and behind the camera. Don’t Call Me Girlie chronicles these pioneering careers, including Lottie Lyell, the McDonagh sisters, Helen Twelvetrees and Shirley Ann Richards.
Plus the surviving fragments of Louise Lovely’s Jewelled Nights (1925), presented by the NFSA’s General Manager Collections, Meg Labrum.
