The Darkside + One Night the Moon
Double feature celebrating National Reconciliation Week:
The Darkside (2013, PG, 94mins, D: Warwick Thornton) - 6.30pm
This anthology work was developed from a national call-out for Indigenous ghost stories. The filmmakers recorded these stories and combined the original audio recordings with monologues performed by ten of Australia’s leading performers, including Bryan Brown, Jack Charles and Claudia Karvan.
One Night the Moon (2001, PG, 57mins, D: Rachel Perkins) - 8:15pm
Perkins’ dream-like musical drama is about a white landowner (Paul Kelly) and the black tracker (Kelton Pell) who helps him. With a score by Paul Kelly and Kev Carmody and featuring spectacular Flinders Ranges locations, this film will stay with you long after the credits roll.
