Arc Out Loud: Serial Mom

7 May
Location informationArc Cinema
Event cost$12 / $10

Continuing our series of interactive, ‘out loud’ screenings. Some films deserve hushed reverence and quiet contemplation... these are not those films.

Beverly Sutphin (Kathleen Turner) appears to be the textbook model of a traditional housewife – perfect outfits, immaculate suburban house, loving husband and two teenage children.

But is Bev hiding a darker side? Will her passion for recycling turn into rage against her less ecologically minded neighbours? And will criticism of her children put the locals in her crosshairs?

An intensely dark and funny film from the Pope of Trash John Waters, featuring an outstanding performance by Kathleen Turner as the beloved and demented serial killer Mom.

This Arc Out Loud is dedicated to celebrating Mother’s Day! Come dressed in your best Serial Mom outfit for your chance to win a killer prize pack!

‘An uproariously funny, marvellously malicious performance from Turner’ – Time Out
