Adoration

Two lifelong best friends Roz (Robin Wright) and Lil (Naomi Watts) have grown up together as neighbours in an idyllic beach town. As adults, their teenage sons (Xavier Samuel and James Frecheville) have developed a friendship as strong as that of their mothers.  

One summer, friendships cross boundaries as the mothers each fall in love with their best friend’s son.

While they know what they are doing is wrong, the emotion and physical connection is too strong for all four to untwine themselves. 

But then trouble inevitably arises when one of the young men desires a lover his own age.
