The NFSA is proud to continue Film Australia’s 60-year heritage, representing a diverse range of high-quality Australian documentary and educational programs and creating an audiovisual record of Australian life.
Sales and Distribution manages a worldwide distribution service for NFSA products and the Film Australia Collection (FAC) of titles, marketing them to broadcasters and other media platforms in Australia and overseas, and to retail outlets, schools, higher education and training institutions, public libraries, museums, resource centres, community groups and government and non-government organisations.
The catalogue consists of a wide range of documentaries on social issues, arts, history, the environment and Indigenous issues.

Educational institutions under an agreement with Screenrights are able to record Film Australia Collection programs for educational purposes when broadcast on television. For more information contact Screenrights.

With over 5,000 titles documenting Australia since the early 1900s to the present day, the Film Australia Collection Library manages access to one of the largest and most historically significant sources of archival, documentary, stock footage and stills in Australia.

Delivery is generally within 10 days of receipt of order for Australian customers. Prices are in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST (Goods and Services Tax). Prices quoted are for PAL DVD formats.
All orders are accepted on a firm sale basis. Refunds are not available. The NFSA reserves the right to reasonably determine the price category of each and any customer. All goods remain the property of the NFSA until paid for in full. Prices and availability are subject to change without notice. Placement of an order shall signify acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The NFSA grants a non-exclusive, non-theatric licence which grants the right to screen the program to a non-paying audience. Customers who purchase programs at the list price do not have public performance rights to the program. Public performance is defined as any publicly advertised screening to a paying audience. For terms and conditions for public performance rights, retail distribution, site licences and copyright clearances, contact Sales and Distribution.
Programs may only be used for purposes indicated by the purchase price paid. Programs may not be edited, duplicated, broadcast, transmitted by cable or otherwise transmitted by any multi-receiver, open or closed circuit system, whether or not admission is charged, without prior written permission from the NFSA. Any contravention of these restrictions may be regarded as a breach of copyright and may lead to prosecution.
