For THE VOSS JOURNEY, over a dozen institutions have collaborated to produce an unprecedented investigation into the
fictional journeys of Johann Ulrich Voss and his historical counterpart Ludwig Leichhardt.

Led by the NFSA, the Canberra International Music Festival, The Australian National University, National Library of Australia, National Portrait Gallery,
AIATSIS
, The Australian Broadcasting Corporation, The Canberra Symphony Orchestra, The RMC Band and Manning Clark House – have dug deep into their collections to retrieve some gems of Australian history.

Together, they will host events which will bring to Canberra many of the key literary and musical figures associated with Voss in its various manifestations: director Jim Sharman, writers David Malouf and David Marr, composers Richard Meale, Peter Sculthorpe and Barry Conyngham, singers Marilyn Richardson and Geoffrey Chard, arts administrators Moffatt Oxenbald and Leonard Amadio, and historians Barry Jones and Rod Home.
